Knowledge management is the key to the success of modern organisations

8.8.2018

The 2018 Tampere Leadership Symposium seeks ways to make strategic organisational decisions using analytics and knowledge-based management. The theme is very current, as digitalization has made it possible to collect incredible amounts of data. However, merely collecting data is not enough, as one must also be able to analyse it, communicate about it, and use it to make strategic, knowledge-based decisions. The event is open for all and takes place at the University of Tampere on 6 September.

The annual Tampere Leadership Symposium offers an opportunity to come and hear leading experts talk about society, business and management. This year we have the honour to have the one and only Tom Davenport speaking at our main seminar. Davenport is a distinguished Professor of Technology and Management from Babson College. He is known as a pioneer of data- and analytics-based management and knowledge management.

Besides seminars, Tampere Leadership Symposium offers informal programme as the student associations of the Faculty of Management arrange activities, such as competitions and debates. Students also have an opportunity to participate to workshops at Y-kampus. As usual, the event also offers a Business Market, where businesses and students get to know each other and discuss possible future collaboration.
