Tampere is a strong hub of game research and game development. A game education pilot offered to students in all three Tampere3 higher education institutions will start in the autumn term of 2016.
The pilot will start with a joint course platform, which offers game-related courses organised by any of the Tampere3 universities – Tampere University of Applied Sciences (TAMK), Tampere University of Technology (TUT) and the University of Tampere – to students in all of the partner universities. These studies will be available as of the autumn term of 2016. To begin with, only a limited number of places is reserved for students coming from partner universities.
For the student this means that a student of TAMK, for example, can sign up for any of the courses offered by TUT and UTA into this pilot course platform and have them included in his/her degree certificate. The same applies to students of TUT and UTA.
Further information on the courses will be available soon.
